Legal Assistant

The ideal candidate will be bi-lingual, and able to work independently to ensure the smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the lawyer
Answering phones
Client follow up
File preparation/organization
Enter data/information in the database
Scheduling Appointments
Drafting court documents
E-filing
Other tasks as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience in legal assistance
Experience with immigration law
Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and office protocols
